Install Safepay Checkout Raast on Shopify

Let Shopify customers pay from their bank account or wallet with Raast.

The Safepay Checkout Raast app lets customers pay directly from their bank account or mobile wallet using Raast, Pakistan's instant payment system. Customers stay on your store while they pay, and the order status updates in real time.

The app is free to install. Safepay transaction fees apply. See pricing.

Before you start

You need:

  • A Shopify store, and permission to install apps on it.
  • Your aggregator Merchant ID from Safepay. It starts with am_, followed by a 36-character ID.

The Raast app does not use your Safepay API keys. To get your aggregator Merchant ID, contact support@getsafepay.com before you install.

You can run Safepay Checkout Raast alongside a card app such as Safepay Checkout Onsite. Customers then see both options at checkout.

Install the app

  1. Open Safepay Checkout Raast on the Shopify App Store.
  2. Click Install and select your store.
  3. Confirm the installation in your Shopify admin. The Get started page opens.
Click Install on the Shopify App Store listing.

Enter your Merchant ID

On the Get started page, enter your aggregator Merchant ID in the Merchant ID field, in the format am_ followed by the 36-character ID. Then click Submit.

Enter the Merchant ID you received from Safepay, then click Submit.

Once active, Safepay Checkout Raast appears under More ways to pay in Settings → Payments.

Settings → Payments in the Shopify admin, with all three Safepay apps installed.

Test a payment

  1. Place an order on your store and choose Raast at checkout.
  2. Decide whether you prefer to pay through Dynamic QR or Raast ID/IBAN
  3. Approve the payment in your banking or wallet app.
  4. In your Shopify admin, open the order and check that its payment status updated.

Go live

Once your test order goes through, Raast is ready for your customers. If anything doesn't look right, contact Safepay support before you start taking real orders.
